HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPS!! (yesterday)

Home Sweet Home

I went home to San Antonio this past weekend to visit family and friends. It was such a blast! I had such a great time getting pedicures with Kerstin, Cristina and Heather. FHE at the Houston-Wadsworth's house was great fun too! I am so lucky to have such great friends that always drop what they are doing and hang out when I come into town! It was so relaxing to be at my parents house also. And I loved all the rain!

How lucky am I?!?!

The past couple of weekends, I've been seriously lucky enough to watch 5 of my brother and sister-n-law's 6 kids while they were out of town. They are THE coolest kids I know. I have so much fun with them. They keep me laughing all day. The 2 1/2 yr old twins, Ben & Matt, like to keep me busy by either locking me or each other out of the house. Ryan has the best sense of humor. He says the funniest things and I find myself using some his of material. (thanks ryan! :) ) This is a conversation I had with my 5 year old niece, Megan this past weekend:
Megan: "Janet, where is your husband?"
me: "I don't know Meggie, I haven't found him yet."
Megan: "It's sure taking you a long time to find him!"
me: "It is, isn't it."
Megan: "Well, I'll pray he's not lost anymore."
I love these kids!!! :)

Cake anyone??

I've been taking a cake decorating class the past month or so and I love it! Which is really weird because I'm not a fan of cake. The only cake I like is cheesecake and I'm not sure that can even be classified as cake. The roses were harder to make than you think. (at least for me!) I almost had a break down in class when I couldn't get the dumb peddles to stay up. I felt better after the 13 yr old little girl sitting next to me told me I could do it. Anyway, here are some pictures of my cakes. The one with the roses on top is my 2nd cake and the "present" cake is one I made last night.
